December 8th is our final tour, and we'll take a walk along the Zodiac line to review the constellations that mark the months of the year.
We are taking a break over the summer from our regular Saturday evening program, and will be back in February.
Thank you to the thousands who visited us this year, it was a lot of fun especially over the winter months as we celebrated Matariki. Now it's time for our volunteers to take a break and some maintenance to get done. The late sunset over summer really does make it difficult to schedule public viewing, however don't let that stop you from enjoying the awesome beauty of the night sky.
If you have a group and would like a private tour we are available on request. Ideally if we have a weeks notice to schedule staff, and aim for a start time of 9pm as that allows us to open the telescopes afterward and show you some of our southern hemisphere treasures. Earlier indoor tours are definately available also, even midday of your group meets then.
